Day 120 — Get a Grip; 2007 photo surrealism
30-November-1971 (Tue.)

Foggy tree

TRANSCRIPT

Spent four hours in electronic music with only a tiny amount of result—can sometimes be frustrating.

Also got my shot for “die grippe.” Ha, rather, the flu. For free.

REFLECTIONS

Get a Grip. A busy but normal day in 1971. Electronic music did not produce results, but that’s ok. As the saying goes, you don’t learn from your successes, you learn from your mistakes. Also got a flu (grippe) shot. Under a socialized medical system, it was free. That was a first for me. In 1971, nothing in the U.S. was free.

Fall fog by lake
Fog fotos. In 2007, we’ve been having some unusually warm weather for November. A day or two ago, when walking my dog near the lake (remember life event 2), I was struck by the surrealistic images and texture that the fog was creating as a backdrop to the stark trees on the shoreline. Returning home, I grabbed my iPhone (couldn’t find the camera) and returned and took a few photos. While the iPhone has no zoom or exposure controls, and only takes pictures that are 2 megapixels. They’re ok. I’ll post a few of these in the Slide Shows section of the Pictures pages.

Fall foliage
Since the recent post on Dali, surrealism, and art films, I thought this might be an interesting side note.
